Fried mushrooms were so delish!! BBQ always on hits the spot!!

Great BBQ ribs, brisket and sausage. The smoke flavor is perfect. The unique selection of delicious sodas is amazing. They alse have candies you wouldn't find most places.

We eat there just about every weekend. Great bbq great food lacy's the best!!

They have the best food and the best sweet tea that is actually sweet

The only thing good here is their beer selections. Pretty impressed on all the imports they had. However their food is awful. Dry meat and flavorless meat, low quality ingredients, way too salty potatoes and dry! I had their BBQ and some sides. I didnt like any of it but ate it cause I was so hungry.

Quick/friendly service, yummy homestyle cooking and any beer or wine you can think of! Oh yeah, they also have Muenster meats - flippin amazing! A Denton staple that isn't to be missed!

As a mail carrier I have to rely on businesses when I need a restroom break. The owner told me “ma’am we don’t have public restrooms they are for PAYING customer’s” I’ve been a carrier 15 years and have never encountered someone so rude. Most businesses are very accommodating. Don’t worry Metzler you won’t see me, my family or my friends.

Amazing. I love this place. Got the chicken fried steak dinner with gravy, texas toast, curly fries, and a side salad. The salad was fresh, the tomatoes were very nice, and the onions were perfect. The gravy and steak were amazing. The toast was toast. The curly fries were decent but dipped in the gravy makes them so much better. My wife had the chopped bbq sandwich with curly fries. She killed it. Highly recommend. This place also has almost every beer you can think of and a really nice selection of sauces, candies, sweets, and meats. If you've never been here yous should go.

Great food and atmosphere! COVID precautions being taken mostly seriously, though our waiter came to our table a few times without her face mask on, which was uncomfortable.

A little silly with 1st phase conditions after quarantine, you almost have to throw your card to them with the distance. But, for the important stuff, good is good, prices had not gone up yet place is clean and the folks were friendly. Good food for the family.

Loved this place when we lived in Denton before and they are just is good now. If you love chopped beef slow simmered in sauce after being smoked to perfection on a great bun. This is the place for you. One warning don't put the sack down on your cloth seats. It is wonderfully greasy by the time you get home! Wish I could give it 10 stars.

Everytime I get the friend mushrooms or fried pickles the are not done, the breading appears crispy but is actually doughy inside...this has happened at both locations 4 or 5 times, each time thinking maybe they were rushed, it's the lunch hour, etc...Other than that the burgers are pretty good. Service is good. Just please cook the fried appetizers a couple minutes longer, please! And also the beer batter is not good. Maybe offer without?

Great place and food, but the service is not so much. Any time i call to place a to go order the kitchen is apparently closed. Even if i place my order an hour ahead of the closing time. I get it, yall wanna go home but thats just rude.

I absolutely love the dishes and customer service, fantastic area nearby to my house. The staff members are always very welcoming. Will come visit again.

I celebrated my PhD last night in this great place. Well we enjoyed a terrific evening and the restaurant was absolutely the reason for that happy celebration. The waiters participated in a sweet style, the cooking was extremely good and my buddies were very overjoyed. We shall absolutely return for more joyful events. Thank you very much.

Great food ! Sliced beef and baked potato.. My favorite. They sell 🍷 too. They lady who waited on us was super nice and very helpful !! Will definitely be back for that rib special on Friday\Saturday. Thanks

Great BBQ and hundreds of craft beers. Selection of cheese and sausage. You can get a 64 ounce growler of fresh draft beer to take home and refill later!

This place is obviously one of the best place to eat in the area. Whenever I come there I am profoundly satisfied. They preserve their high level service and the topmost level of cooking they provide. You always win with this restaurant. Very recommended.

Been a main stay ofdenton good bq and exotic beers

I ordered a cheeseburger and what I got was ruff... tasted like dry frozen patty. No flavor and really hard to chew. I gave up at half. The fresh veggies is the only reason this got two stars. Now their Chicken Santa Fe sandwhich is where it's at!! You will not eat one that compares... not even Chik-Fil-A!

This place is great. I like to pick up a pound of chopped brisket and a pint of potato salad to eat for lunch for a few days. It always runs out too soon. I just can't seem to serve myself smaller portions. Brisket doesn't really need BBQ sauce. It's delicious all by itself.

The BBQ can be a bit hit or miss (sometimes it can be a bit dry), but they have a nice beer/wine selection, so it's nice to order take-out, browse for a bit, then get your stuff and go home to feast.

The meals are fantastic and the crew is welcoming and cooperative. always when we eat in this place we pass a cheerful time. I warmly recommend this restaurant.

It's a small, convenience-store type of atmosphere, with a dine in seating option. The German food is very good, especially the sausage. The barbecue plate was okay, nothing wrong with it, but nothing special. I would eat the German plate there again.
